how about a gun metal or a deep purple

Feint Motion
02-20-2005, 07:42 PM
Yea, Gunmetal sounds nice. I may just go with Nighthawk Black, or Metallic orange pearl.

SupaMan89T
02-20-2005, 07:43 PM
nighthawk all the way then wet sand it with 2000 until you see silver spots from the pearl then clear it twice more and it will look awsome! :)

Very tough looking front on this kit.

A dark colour will hide alot of the kit...go for a brighter colour to bring it out more.

Very agreeable, a dark color would hide most of its beauty. I may go with the color on the kit. All depends whats avalible at my Local shop.

Thanks for the input.

Scratch X isn't a wax, its basically the same as your turtlewax compound but with finer particles. I don' t think you need a polishing kit just a good quality wax.

Great colour BTW :)

No problem Nabil,
I used the tutorials on this forum! The main key is curing the clear coat from Orange Peel.(wet Sanding) Theres alot more info on the tutorials. Compound brings out the shine though.

Its the Wet-Sanding that takes the most time. You'll need to get all the curves, and angles, without burning through the paint. It pays off in the end, it will be smooth as glass.

General Question:
Do you think if I add 3-6 more clear coats, the paint would look more deep? I need your help on this.
Thanks.

ImolaEK
03-11-2005, 06:54 PM
Sweet! I like how you seperated the two tones on this car:) I think that if you put more clear coat on the whole car you might lose some panel line details. I would mask the car up and just clear coat the roof:)
