1991 B2200 timing questionLorenzoM72 02-19-2005, 10:24 PM Anyone know what are the timing marks for a 91 B2200?The repair manual calls for "A" mark on the camshaft pulley, but I don't have that. I have #1, #2, #3 and #4 with an arrow above each at 90 degree from eachother, and I also have a circle between #1 and #4. What mark should I align to the mark on the housing? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. 89B2200 02-20-2005, 11:39 AM with the crankshaft pulley lined up at zero in the lower timing belt cover, camshaft pulley #1 or A mark should be lined up with the upper mark on the aluminum back plate housing. LorenzoM72 02-20-2005, 01:20 PM The lower timing belt cover is off, and so is the big pulley on the crank shaft. Now, the small pulley on the crank shaft (timing belt pulley), has a notch on the back side, and a circle on the front side, right above the key of the crank shaft. I aligned this mark, to the mark on the housing...at this point, what mark on the camshasft pulley should align with the mark on its housing? Thanks in advance. 89B2200 02-20-2005, 04:08 PM if the bottom timing belt pulley is lined up with the housing mark, that's good. Now the camshaft pulley mark #1 should line up with the housing mark on the top. Then you're good to go. LorenzoM72 02-20-2005, 11:31 PM Yeap, it worked! Thanks a lot for the help. Kyrasis6 09-24-2005, 10:44 PM B2200 / 2000 Timing Check (http://www.mazdatruckin.com/B2200/B22TimeCheck.html) grandmaster_mel 04-28-2006, 11:40 PM I have a problem putting the camshaft sprocket (top timing pulley) back on because I did not mark its position prior to removing it. There is a guide pin on the camshaft that mates to this sprocket. Does anyone know what position this guide pin should be if the crank pulley is already at TDC (12,3,6,or 9 o'clock) ? There are 4 positions that this guide pin can go on the camshaft sprocket. If I only know the actual position of this guide pin at TDC, based on previous form on timing issues, the #1 marking should be at 12 o'clock position. Anyone? grandmaster_mel 04-29-2006, 12:05 AM Looks like the guide pin is at 12 o'clock position. Thanks! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
