I get eight flashes between a pause when checking my check light.
Can someone tell me what this equals?
It's on my 98 Accord V-6 coupe.
Thanks

I know on the 90-93 accords there are short and long flashes...
A long flash counts as 10 a short flash counts as 1.
Here is a list of the codes, and I don't think they have changed over the years, so this should apply to your 98 as well.

Your local Haynes manual shows you how to adjust your tdc.

Be careful using the dash light for coding. Being that it's a '98 I doubt your TDC has malfunctioned. I would say it's the EGR valve instead. Using the onboard, long flashes indicate the first number, while short flashes are the second digit. So, example one long flash, then two quick flashes, indicates a twelve, which is "EGR Valve Lift Insufficient" (code P1491). In the case of eight long flashes for eight, what is zero? Code 8 is TDC but code 80 EGR Flow Insufficient.
I only know this because I used the onboard and misinterpreted the 80 to be 8 and thought it was TDC. I would suggest going to Autozone and get a free check on the engine light. They can give you an exact code so you can then get an exact error. I wouldn't go by the dash light.
Or, if you have several '96 or never vehicles, you can always get a handheld OBD II diagnostic reader for about $70 at Autozone and diagnose your own errors.
Anyway, don't do anything until you get a real codign on the light.
Best of luck...
