Slight Vibration felt/heard Right Frnt Wheel on Left TurnJoshBarber 02-17-2005, 04:21 PM Since I bought it, theres a slight vibration heard from the front left tire when I'm putting pressure to the left side with the steering wheel at high speed. I don't hear it on normal around town driving, mostly on the highways as the highway curves to the left. You can hear a real quiet vibration, and I believe I feel it through the steering wheel itself (very faintly) Any ideas? BlazerLT 02-17-2005, 04:41 PM yip, right front bearing needs to be replaced. When you turn left, it puts pressure on the right bearing. JoshBarber 02-17-2005, 04:48 PM Can you really be sure of that from just the info I gave you? How hard is it to do myself? Have you done it? Cost of Parts? Special tools? Cost to have it done proffessionally? BlazerLT 02-17-2005, 04:53 PM Have you done a search yet? Please do a search for information. JoshBarber 02-17-2005, 04:59 PM I ALWAYS do a search first. This isnt the first auto forum I've used. I know it's annoying to get the same questions over and over. Lot's of things cause noises, and vibrations. My point was, is it possible it's something else before I go spend the $150 on parts, and time replacing it? i.e.- I don't want to replace the: Lower Ball Joints Passenger Upper Ball Joint Sway Bar End Links Sway Bar Bushings Front and Rear Shocks to find out it's a hood squeek with a $2 fix. get me? BlazerLT 02-17-2005, 05:06 PM Yes, I was telling you to do a search on the wheel bearing replacement procedure. It has been covered before. JoshBarber 02-17-2005, 05:13 PM Was there any other things I should look at as well? I checked that out. Thank you. Good photos etc. Just never done one before, so I'm clueless. AutoZone quoted me $150 for parts. Doesnt look horrible, but sometimes easy looking stuff ends up being the biggest headaches. BlazerLT 02-17-2005, 10:23 PM I would recommend buying a haynes or chilton's manual to help you through it. It will have the guide on how to remove it. JoshBarber 02-18-2005, 07:15 AM I've got one, thanks BlazerLT 02-18-2005, 07:39 AM It doesn't have the procedure in it? blazee 02-18-2005, 10:24 AM You will need 18mm 36mm deep well socket torque wrench capable of 103ft/lbs vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
