How to disable panic alarmporter92 02-17-2005, 01:18 PM I have an '01 Cavalier Z24 with the standard key fob for remote locks, trunk release and panic alarm. Since I often hit the alarm button by mistake, I'd like to know if it's possible to disable this. Anyone tried this before? Thanks for any input in advance inarifennec 02-17-2005, 02:25 PM I have an '01 Cavalier Z24 with the standard key fob for remote locks, trunk release and panic alarm. Thanks for any input in advance I can see the annoyance.. but I guess an alarm is like a condom I'd rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have one. inarifennec 02-17-2005, 02:29 PM Off topic... Wooh! I got my first star! IFIXCARZ4U 02-19-2005, 12:37 AM the only way is to either permanantly remove the contact pad inside the remote or install a piece of non conductive material to the pad inside the remote for the alarm. porter92 02-19-2005, 10:28 AM the only way is to either permanantly remove the contact pad inside the remote or install a piece of non conductive material to the pad inside the remote for the alarm. good idea...I will try that. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
