I'll admit I'm not an expert. Most of what I know about these computers is self taught through trial and error over the last 3 years. But I may have a solution to help you. If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, click on the "View" tab on the bar at the top of your screen. A drop down menu should come up with choices . Find "text size" (located in the middle of the menu.) Another menu should appear with choices ranging from largest to smallest. Choose a smaller text size and see if that helps any. If you are using Mozilla Firefox go to the same "View" tab and click on it. It's pretty much the same, only your choices are to increase or decrease the text size. Try decreasing the size to see if that helps. You can always click on the "Normal" to get back to the originalm size. I don't have this problem viewing the threads very often, (having to slide the page to read the text.) and I'm not sure if there is another option. Hope this helps you.

It only happens when there is a picture that is larger than the normal viewing margins.
Does this post make you scroll to the side to read the text?

Hmm that is strange because I have no problem viewing the posts, now the actual page goes a little to the right but there is not anything over there except the adds at the top. The only time I have a problem with the text in the posts is when a member posts a big picture or has a big sig.

How old is old? If you are on a 640x480 screen thats why. But other than that, Im not sure.

Haha you know what I thought about that after I shut down the computer last night. I am thinking that is his problem.

When the person making the website makes the site they can make it to view best on whatever size monitor they choose. As a standrard most people choose for their sites to be viewed best on a 800x600 because there are still alot of people running that who aren't up to 1024x768 yet. And it is less of a pain for us running 1024x768 to view something at 800x600 than it is for people running 800x600 to view 1024x768... because you would have to scroll as you said you do. When this site was created they probbably set it to 1024 instead of 800 and the other sites you go to may be set at 800.

If your monitor can handle it change it to 1024x768 it should make a big difference. if not well then your just gonna have to deal with it or get a newer monitor.
