Starting Probs.

My car has been making weird noises every time I start it up lately. It has done this for the last couple months, but has gotten more serious recently. Now, it does it every single time I start my car, whereas before it would only happen once in a while. Someone told me before it was my pulleys making the noise, but now I know it's more than a noise.
Anyways, what happens is when I start my car, it makes weird noises like it's straining or something. I had someone look at the engine while I started it and they said it looked like it was coming from the intake manifold. They also said it could be the fuel pump. The other day, it made the sound and just stalled out without the engine starting completely. I'm going to take it to the dealership soon, but I want to know what you guys think it is because sometimes the dealership is so stupid, and I would like to explain to them what the problem could be to narrow down the work they have to do.

I have the exact same problem w/ my G right now!!! i'm not worried at this moment, cause i'm planning to swap motors soon, but i still wonder wtf is wrong with my car!?!? It seems as if alot of people have this problem, but no one really knows what it is?! Well if you ever find out frogg, or if anyone alse knows what this problem is, please post up the answer!!! :D

could be drive belts, Water pump or alternator. Are your lights seem to be more dim than normal at engine speeds lower than 1500RPMs? If not, try the fuel filter, distrubitor cap&rotor, plugs, and wires. It could also be the EGR valve, they dont seem to last very long under hard driving. A lot of parts dont seem to last as long under hard driving ive noticed on my Gs. Like:
Drive Belts/Cap&Rotor/wires/OEM Injectors and Injector Seals/MAFS Getting dirty/Air cleaner assembly dirty, including throttle body.
Incorrect timing also is common in these problems.
