OK I need your opinions. My brother is looking at a 92 325is with 160,000 miles for $2700 at the dealer, besides minor exterior/interior flaws it drives good. Before we drove the car we saw alittle smoke from the exhaust but it was cold out so we thought it was normal. AFTER we drove the car we reved the engine up and got out with the car still running thats when we saw ALOT of white smoke puffing out. Do you guys think he should pass or give it a shot? What could be the cause of that smoke?

Thanks in advance.

Forget that. Youde have to pay possibly more thenw hat you paid for the car just to get it running correctly.

it could be a head gasket or even the head... if you are not going to fix it your self.. then you should pass on it... the head gasket at the dealer will run about $800... the head and the head gasket will run about $2400 and that is with a used head..
