1992 Lumina Euro Won't StartRic6422 02-15-2005, 12:51 PM My '92 Lumina (3.1 L) - my spare beater car - now won't start. For the past few months, it would crank for up 7-8 seconds before it would catch, and it would belch out some black smoke like it was flooded. Yesterday it finally gave up and won't start. I checked for spark and saw nothing. A friend - former Chevy mechanic - suggested I replace the ignition control module. I did, but nothing. Still no spark. Before dumping another $100 on a wild goose chase, I'm hoping the great minds here can help. Thanks!! jeffcoslacker 02-15-2005, 10:11 PM My '92 Lumina (3.1 L) - my spare beater car - now won't start. Check the crank position sensor for signal if you can, no signal, no spark. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
