value of '91 900 S ex-trans

Advice needed. With great sadness I must say goodbye to my '91 Saab 900 S. Engine good, but automatic trans needs serious work. 104K miles. Light blue ext./dark blue leather int. A Saab enthusiast colleague of mine is interested in it for parts. What should I ask for it?

Hi ,What is the transmission doing? I drive a 84 automatic with 185000 miles and the trans was rebuilt at 120000 right before I bought it. These transmissions require filter and fluid replacement every few years. Sometimes a simple band adjustment restores like new performance. If you just want to get rid of it my guess would be $500. These are solid cars that can last 400000 miles with service . Pat
