I have a friend who going to start building a 2000 b16a2 motor w/ all type r integra internals.... everything from valves, springs, cams to pistons to crank bored to a 1.8 obviously. Some of my other friends told me that they thought it wasn't a good idea but i think it'll be sick. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and what did they think of it? Was it worth it? Just trying to get some info and facts just incase.

You need either shorter rods and stock pistons or stock rods and custom pistons to get the crank into a B16 block, it uses a shorter deck height.

Second, if he has all those ITR parts, why doesn't he just run the damn ITR motor? If he doesn't have all those parts already, it would be a waste of money for how much it would cost to put it all together.

to bore it to a 1.8, youll need to resleeve the motor. unless your talking about just using the crank in which case like turboek said, youll need shorter rods for the added stroke.

Don't waste the money with all that. It's stupid. If he wants power there are much better ways of getting it. He would have a hard time getting all those parts for a decent price without buying the motor, and then why not just put the motor in. B16a2 vs B18c5, it's a no brainer. Plus with all that money wasted he could have gotten other parts that are easier to put in and would get more power.
