random Buick question

This may be a stupid question, but I'm wondering where the term "Buford" comes from... I see it in magazines when they are referring to Buick's but I don't know what it means.....
Also, are there any magazines/books out there that focus on "late-model" Buick performance and upgrades, specifically the 3800 motor?

Thanks,

Leo

In the 1973 movie Walking Tall, Buford is chased by a '66 Buick Electra.

There is a Buick Dealership in buford, Georgia.

This is a fellow who calls his 85 riviera Big Buford.

While it's an old motor-head term for Buicks, not sure of the specific origins, hopefully you found the above humourous though.

Ah , I remember those movies, they were great. I bought the Walking Tall box set on half.com for $20 last year, now I can watch all 3 of them anytime I want . LOL.

There was actually 3. The original and 2 sequels. Then there was the remake last year with The Rock.
