88 Accord stalling when braking

I have an 88 Accord. It started stalling at stop lights the other day. I checked the idle and it was about 500. I adjusted to 750 and it ran fine for a day. Then, on my daughter's way to school, it started dying every time she stopped at lights or to turn. It starts right back up. Any ideas?

Is it carb or fuel injected?

It may be easy then.In the center of your valve cover there is a hose that goes inbetween the intake runners.Take some needle nose plyers and pinch it off.If the idle changes you need a pcv valve.Carl

what does the pcv valve do anywho? I have a fuel injected and the hose to the pcv valve (From the firewall) seems to be pinched shut (from the negative pressure), could this do anything bad?

It's part of the emission control equipment (Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve), and, given that the whole system is designed to work together, can cause problems if it isn't doing its job.
