I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. I am having starting problems. I just put a new coil, plugs, plug wires, and fuel filter on it andit was fine all that day. The next morning it would not start. If I put the key in and immediately start it, it will start and run for about 2 seconds then shut down. After it shuts down, the "security" light on the instrument comes on and stays on. After the first time, it won't start at all. Or if I wait a few seconds after putting the key in before I start it, it does nothing.
I feel like it has something to do with the alarm. But what. And how do I fix it or bypass the alarm altogether. Any hlp would be greatly appreciated.

Try locking and unlocking any or all doors.
