2004 360 Modena Vs.2005 CorvetteDetroitMuscle15 02-13-2005, 01:40 AM yeah hell i know this comparo has a wide gap between the price range but i want to see how well these two cars will fare in a 1 on 1 bout 2005 Chevrolet Corvette 6.0L V8 400HP 0-60-4.2s(C&D,4.4s(R&T) 55+K 2004 Ferrary 360 Moden 3.6L V8 395?-400HP 0-60 4.5s 150+K If money was a problem id definitly get the Corvette but...Ferrari hands down because of its exclusivity and sexyness and nothing comares to the sound of its gnary V8 VAD0R 02-13-2005, 02:11 AM Some people preffer their motors sounding low and rumbly rather than whining then screaming. What may sound to ones liking may not be the same for the other. Dreamspawn 02-13-2005, 02:18 AM i Must agree the flat plane crank does make the ferries v8 sound very exotic but there is just something bout an american v8. Espically a GM one if us slapped a flow mater 80 series on it , damn u talk bout mean. There website has some audio snippets but let me tell u it doesn't do them justes. I guy i know has one on his Fbird v6 it makes me v8 sound like crap. But the guy with the LS1 and the flow 80 rules the car sound award round here. Track wise idk in the racing series the vette has but killed the ferries the past couple of years. Of from the press realeses the race cars don't see to be much differnt. just my :2cents: NISSANSPDR 02-13-2005, 03:26 AM 360 Modena anyday...it's got sex appeal, wonderful motor (and sounds), great gearbox, amazing brakes and wheels, cool interior...higher gawk factor Sure it's also more expensive to maintain and buy and modify but hell if you have a 360 Modena you better be able to keep her running! MITSU-EVO 02-14-2005, 05:10 AM EASY...The Ferrari... For every reason, especially for the exclusivity!!! SuperHighOutput 02-14-2005, 02:03 PM I'll take the C6, Vettes are my favorite cars, so the choice is easy for me. MR2Driver 02-14-2005, 05:36 PM This isnt a fair comparison, the Ferrari 360 by a mile... FormulaLT1 02-15-2005, 05:09 AM If I have to buy it, Corvette without a doubt. If they were same price or was being given to me Ferrari. John DetroitMuscle15 02-15-2005, 10:46 PM alright we got new contestants Hailing from the tough streets of Detroit IL,Weighing in at near 3200 lbs and with 500 raw and fierce Horsepower The 2006 Chevyrolet Corvette Z06...... And now introducing the car who needs no introduction....Roaring and screaming from the beutiful and ancient streets of Italy..The 2005 Ferrari F430...Armed with a revised 4.3 V8 that cranks out a fast and furious 483HP... and a claimed dash to 60MPH at 3.5s...which one of thse bad boys will duke it out to the finish Vettribution87 02-16-2005, 07:51 AM Hailing from the tough streets of Detroit IL,Weighing in at near 3200 lbs and with 500 raw and fierce Horsepower The 2006 Chevyrolet Corvette Z06...... :uhoh:(whispers): Kentucky sir...The Corvette is from Bowling Green Kentucky! Sorry to be a smart ass but I couldn’t help it. Nice speech though. Kurtdg19 02-16-2005, 01:31 PM Well if you throw in the 06 Z, then you mines as well bring the 430 into the play :evillol: But between the 360, and C6, I would think the Modena would be a superior track car only because the Ferrari looks damn good in red.......:screwy: RedLightning 02-16-2005, 09:01 PM Mr. Corvette. jyot soni 03-14-2005, 12:42 PM This isnt a fair comparison, the Ferrari 360 by a mile... u r right, u can't compare 147,000 car to vette. jyot soni 03-14-2005, 12:44 PM vette if i have to spend money and 360 if someone else is 2 pay 4 it. porscheguy9999 03-14-2005, 01:28 PM I think what DetroitMuscle15 means is that (money is no object) two cars with similar performance. What would you pic? It really boils down to: Import or Domestic, Rounded or Angular design, High Pitched Scream or Low Rumble. I would take the 360 Modena. I've gotten a ride in one and all I can say is: There is nothing like a ride in a Ferrari. MexSiR 03-14-2005, 04:31 PM How can you even COMPARE these two cars? Its just a different league of car. Ferrari. V8slayer 03-15-2005, 06:03 AM Well if by 2004 360 you mean the CS model, then it's no comparison. On the Top Gear test track, the 360CS recorded a time of 1min 22.3sec. The 'Vette did a 1min 26.8sec. 4.5sec a lap, that a different league. chevydrummer76 03-15-2005, 07:07 PM take the ferrari.......sell it.....buy the vette.......then have a ton of cash left to do whatever i want with Layla's Keeper 03-16-2005, 12:13 AM Well, the C6 is an incredible car that has shown up the 360 Modena in most respects as far as performance is concerned. However, the C6 is a brand-new platform while the 360 Modena is 6 years old. Even still, the Modena's numbers are badass. 0-60 mph: 4.2 sec 0-100 mph: 10.2 sec Quarter Mile: 12.8 sec @ 112.5 mph Skidpad: .96g Top Speed: 189 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft Slalom Speed: 67.4 mph as compared to the C6 Corvette's numbers, which are astounding for a car at its price point. 0-60 mph: 4.3 sec 0-100 mph: 10.2 sec Quarter Mile: 12.7 sec @ 112 mph Skidpad: .95g Top Speed: 186 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 110 ft Slalom Speed: 66.2 mph So when it comes to performance, tough tough call. And based on styling, I want them both. Dang, only reason I'd take the Ferrari over the Corvette is because I'm first and foremost tifosi. PWRDbyUNCLEbens 03-16-2005, 01:37 AM IMO the ferrari has more character then the C6. Price wise there is no comparison (c6), but if the ferrari was closer in price it would be the ferrari by a mile. The engine in the ferrari is a piece of artwork, as is the super sexy body. Just thinking about the scream of a ferrari makes me want to grab the hand lotion :uhoh: Dark Blue Modena is teh winner for me. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
