righty tighty, lefty loosey?paulfischer 02-10-2005, 10:17 AM Replacing the belt and idler pully, to loosen the nut on the pulley, is it to the left?(normal way? or is it a reversed thread?? Paul On pulleys like that, it goes whichever way would make the pulleys' spin tend to tighten the bolt. Otherwise, the small amout of torque on it from the spin would eventually loosen it. It probably is reverse threaded.
