97 escort problemcv_ponces 02-09-2005, 05:47 PM So I am wondering if anyone here has a suggestion on this problem. Lat night I was going to leave the store and got in my car it started up fine. I proceeded to back up and my car died...since I drive a stick I thought I might have stalled it, but that wasnt it. My car is turning over...all the lights come on and everything...but it wont start. Does this sound familiar to anyone??? chevyn0va1 02-09-2005, 08:41 PM So I am wondering if anyone here has a suggestion on this problem. Alvin if you have acute hearing you will also notice it sounds differnt while cranking then it normally does kinda higher pitch (going along with the turning over faster) BTW alvin, on these coil pack cars (at least mine) if the t/belt snaps does the spark stop too? On older cars if the t/belt (or chain) snaps the rotor (distributor) wont turn and no spark too if i remember correct. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
