Locked out of stereopawt 03-17-2002, 02:17 PM I just purchased a 1999 Integra GS-R yesterday, and I'm locked out of the stereo! When I hit the power button, it asks for the code, and I, having owned it for one day, have no clue what it is! :D Has anybody ever had this problem? There must be some way to reset the stereo (although yes, it does seem a bit redundant to secure the deck with a resettable code) There are 7776 possible codes, and I'm not about to try them all :bloated: Thanks ------------------- Scott Carpenter s-carp@attbi.com '99 Integra GS-R SwiftyR 03-17-2002, 02:21 PM disconect the stereo then re conect it! maybe that will work if not just replace the head unit or sing to urself:o :o :o :o :o :D :D :D ragt20 03-17-2002, 02:28 PM disconnecting and reconnecting won't help........you should have the code written on some of the documents that came with the car, if not you will have to contact a Honda dealership they should be able to give you the code, if you are lucky they won't charge u for it....:) 96LSIntegraRocket 03-17-2002, 05:30 PM take out your stereo take it to the closest honda dealer ship with the registration and they should give you the code for free pawt 03-17-2002, 07:02 PM Alrighty, I'll head to my Honda dealership tomorrow! One more question for you - I purchased the 100,000/5yr Acura extended service warantee when I bought my car. Will my Honda dealership do all of the repairs on my Acura? The nearest Honda dealership is 5 minutes away from my house - the nearest Acura dealership is 2 1/2 hours away :D Thanks for your help... ------------------- Scott Carpenter s-carp@attbi.com '99 Integra GS-R THE4TH 03-20-2002, 02:20 AM if you bought it at acura it has to be serviced at acura........ and honda might not be ablet o give you the code, they might be anal again and make you call acura... but as far as service goes... it's a long ride my friend... pawt 03-20-2002, 10:33 AM Well, I went to my Honda dealership, and, to my utmost dismay, I HAVE TO GO TO THE ACURA DEALERSHIP!!! That's a loooong drive =P I installed my stereo from my car that got wrecked (that's why I got my GSR =) and it now runs smoothly and sounds great.
