Is everyone ready for the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup series? Contrary to popular advertisement, the series starts this coming Saturday (Feb. 12) with the Bud Shootout. It's not a points race, but it sets the stage for the Daytona 500. Bud Shootout is Saturday. Start your fantasy team engines!
Edit: The title still says Thursday because the Gatorade Duel at Daytona (next Thursday) is erroneously placed before the Bud Shootout on the NASCAR website "Tune In" section. My bad.

Yeah, seriously. The amount of talent and machinery and money that kid's got should eventually net him a title. I'm just surprised he hasn't done it yet. Maybe '05 is the year...
