Hey whats up guys...I was on here a while ago asking about a camery prpblem....thought it was the fuel fillter or regulator but found out it was a head problem so I am in the process of pulling the engine out and replacing it with a new one..Boy was it no fun.haha...I being a noob with this whole thing..I got it mostly done mechanically wise but I now have run into some problems trying to figure out how to take out the wiring system....I need some help from anybody that can tell me about it...do I have to undo all the wires from the fuse box? How do I fish out the wiring around the intake manifold? Its so close to being pulled out but some how the wiring has got me in a Jam...I surely dont want to cut anything cuz I just want to take out the engine for a closer look at internals and such....So any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there any quick disconnects from wire to wire? Thanx for your time...I will be back on here to talk about my new project 95 v6 rebuild..it will be a tight ride to share with you all...thanx for the help

You need to check you maintenance manual, but it will tell you to remove the firewall seal from the passenger side of the engine compartment, gain access the the connectors inside the passenger cabin buy removing the glove box and disconnecting the engine wire harness from there. You end up feeding the wire harness out to the engine compartment and taking the whole thing out with the engine. Don't try to take the wire harness off of the engine in the car. You can and should do it on a 91 gen 2, but on the gen 3's it's better to take the harness out with the engine. Once you have it on a stand , if you are planning on using the harness again, take the intank manifold off before you try to take the connectors off the injectors. Be careful, it's real easy to break the locking tab off those electrical connectors and almost a sure thing if you try to do with the manifold still on the engine. Good luck. Steve
