:wave: Wazzup all! Well Im looking to start modifying my G20, I'd like to start off with an exhaust. I've been reading the forum and it seems the Greddy Evo is the way to go, but I had also seen their cat back piping doesnt quite bolt up to a P11 exactly, and that leads me back to my original idea of getting custom mandrel bends and a very good exhaust.

:help: My question is... what size piping will I need and for the exhaust. I really like the looks and the spec numbers of the HKS sports exhaust and the Dynomax Import muffler. Any info will be great :help:

id suggest getting an intake before you get an exhaust, unless your all about looks and dont care about power. :rolleyes: dont know what sizing piping you should get, but id say something like 1.5" or 1.75".

Well moving to Texas wasn't by choice (work) and since the 9/11 event Im still waiting for the market to open back up and move the hell outta here. In fact Dallas was were the G20 had gotten into a match w/ an 18 wheeler, but its all better now.

If you want power, get new cams like the Jim Wolf S3 cams, they will give you at least 10hp. The 99s have really lame stock cams. The stock wires and plugs are good to about 250hp.
A new exhaust may free up 4-5 hp.
A header (like Hotshot's) will free up more hp than a CAI on a '99.
If you want an SR20DE mod education, check out www.sr20DE.net !

They are cool, get the two piece set, unless you feel like spending more for less. Theres a great write up by Mike Kojima on a lot of basic bolt on applications (including the pulleys) for improved performance there...I guess it all depends on how much you have to spend...

Ahhh....i see your point...heh...btw, nice wheels--I have the same until i can pony up to some 17-inch OZ Superleggaras...:)

Back to the exhaust.... Isn't the EVO exhaust supposed to be quiet? I think people said it was supposed to produce a low growl, but just today i was talking to the guys that installed my cai and they said that it was LOUD. I dunno, i was thinking about getting one, now i'm not so sure.

Oh yeah, and if you get a CAI and an exhaust, you're gonna hear some noise... not a problem if you like it loud, but i prefer the low growl.
