So...I am not by any means too car savvy but I need some help. I just had my car tuned up but think I am having ignition problems. Initially, last week, went to start car and heard only tick, tick, tick, etc. All lights came on etc. On the third try the car started and since then was ok until yesterday. Same problem - if I left ignition on full the ticking became faster but engine would not turn over. Finally fiddled with key area and when I put more pressure inward as I turned the key the car started, ran, and after being stopped, restarted easily. Does this sould like ignition problem, computer chip problem, what... :banghead: Any advice would be helpful. I am afraid of getting ripped off by mechanic. He had initially said he thought it was just a moisture problem ad weather conditions were changing drastically and it was colder in garage than outside, ect. Oh... first time it happened I had already been driving around, stopped, etc. This time it happened in garage. Lots of babbling, sorry, this stuff makes me anxious.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check your batter voltage. Make sure it's at least 12.6 w/ the key on. If that's fine, it could possibly be a starter solenoid.
