Need to open the radiator and bleeder screws and fill the radiator until coolant comes out the bleeders, the close everything up and fill the resevoir to the full cold line.

If you add coolant before the res gets empty, you won't have to do all this. Next question is where did the coolant go? You shouldn't have to add.

The low coolant sensor may be stuck also.
