I have a 97' and light backlight behined the ac/vent/heat switches is no longer coming on. So at night, I have this big black spot and can't see the controls. Any ideas, blown fuse? disconnected wire?

If the rest of your dash lighting is copasetic then the bulb fell out or is burned out. Simple problem but have fun trying to get to it!!!

I don't have the specifics for your '97, however on the earlier models, through -'95, the bulb burns out behind the climate controls. In the earlier models you just pop off the face behind the knobs and there is a clear plastic piece. Behind this clear plastic piece is the bulb. The older models have a green cover that goes over the bulb that needs to be saved to put on the new bulb. Again, I don't know specifics of the '97's, but I hope this helps some.
