Looking to buy a 94 gsr..nobody 03-16-2002, 02:18 PM What kind of things can I do to increase my power before throwing a turbo in? Stuff like headers, exhaust, intake and cooler kits? I would have to get these things if If i wanted to put a turbo in anyway right? What are some other things that could help give me a newer and better performace? (minor and big changes) Thanks nobody 03-16-2002, 03:17 PM Just thought of something....if I do get the new exh and intake etc., how much of a better performance can I get with the turbo? It's only a 4-cly right? G_racer 03-19-2002, 03:50 AM Well if you get a turbo then you will be tossing away the intake and headers anyways so if your going to go turbo then build up your bottom end with better pistons and even build up the head with camshafts, cam sprockets, etc. You can boost a stock motor but it's always good to build up the internals for higher boost when you want it. 90CRXZCSi 03-20-2002, 12:42 AM yea i agree with G racer...build up your motor before throwing on a turbo. Elmo908 03-20-2002, 12:55 AM one more thing, one you buy the turbo make sure you don't just buy a turbo because it is cheap, if you keep pressure down it might be ok but if you want to use a turbo for what it was made for then make sure you buy a kit with intercooler, and upgraded fuel system to keep it from messing up your engine, always have gauges too so you know the temp and the pressure. good luck my friend. nobody 03-20-2002, 09:16 AM Aight thanks! Now the hard part, finding the car. :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
