i am thinking of buying a 94 4runner with 94000 miles on it heard motors are good how about auto trans.

I'm working on one right now for a friend... I'm not sure what you mean by GOOD for the motors - they had head gasket problems (check to make sure it was resolved), don't get much umph, and suck gas... but I guess they are ok : )

I don't know of any problems with the tranny, but this is the first one I've work on...
