Carb'd '7?1viadrft 02-04-2005, 12:57 PM Hello my lil' Rotary-Heads! What are your thoughts on a Carbuerator Kit (Like RB's) on an NA 13B/FC? Anyone out there try it? How much more HP? Pro's and con's (other than it not being street-legal?). Thanks! fcdriver 02-05-2005, 02:35 AM I'm not really sure how much hp it would add but I would think it would knock out alot of junk that just sits unfer the hood taking up space. Ever thought of adding a supercharger along with the carb? Just a thought, because if you're looking for more hp then force induction would put you up a few ponies. 1viadrft 02-07-2005, 11:25 AM Well... I don't own a FC as some of you know... My brother does and I'm just trying to help him with some modification options. I've heard of the Supercharged deal... but... D3rELiC 02-07-2005, 07:28 PM yea, you'll get more out of a carbed 13b. ever thought or having the carb boost preped and then use a T2 exhaust manifoil/turbo combo, runing low boost ? way cheaper than getting a s/c and for the carb choice, i'd go for a weber. a big street ported engine with a 48 IDA and 15-18 pounds of boost on a T3/T4 turbo would make a pretty nice amount of power. NuTbAgSaN 02-07-2005, 10:15 PM i think its great. 1 big con i believe is gas mileage. D3rELiC 02-07-2005, 10:27 PM i think its great. 1 big con i believe is gas mileage. then you'd be better off with a diesel volkswagen D3rELiC 02-07-2005, 10:35 PM theres still a shitload of hp to unluck with a 45 DCOE carb or a holley. you could probably go in the 200 crank hp range easely with no porting NuTbAgSaN 02-08-2005, 10:14 PM hey man i dont care about gas...i wanna carb mine >___< but gas mileage is important to some people. 1viadrft 02-09-2005, 12:44 AM I believe the Kit RB sells comes with a Holley Carb... that sucker must sound mean... drftk1d 02-09-2005, 03:58 AM personally, if had a turbo rotary i would go with efi and standalone. but a carbed n/a would be fine for me. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
