01 Supercrew Squeeking In Bushingstransgta 02-03-2005, 04:47 PM The Right Front Somewhere Around The A Arm Shock Absorber Area Has A Squeeking Noise When Turning Or Going Over Bumps. This Is Not A Small Squeak Its Loud U Can Push Down On It By Hand And Hear It. I Took A Grease Gun Needle And Injected All Ruber Boots And Around All Frame Bushings Still Wont Go Away. Anyone Have Any Ideas Would Greatly Be Appreciated yotermanic 02-04-2005, 08:53 PM If it's four wheel drive, the front spring insulators go out on those all the time. I would pry down on the springs and look between at the little plastic plates between them. If you say "what little plastic plates?" then you need new ones. They're about twenty bucks and easy to install. I cut the plastic buttons that stick through the spring off, pry the spring down, slip the new ones in, let the spring up and smack it from the bottom with a hammer to get it to set in. There's other possibilities but as far as loud annoying squeaks, those are the most likely. mustangmike351c 02-04-2005, 09:05 PM are you sure its not the ball joint yotermanic 02-04-2005, 09:51 PM Usually ball joints are associated with clunks or pops, it is possible, though. To check them, raise the vehicle so the tires are about two inches off the ground, then pry up and down on the tires while watching for play. You usually feel it in the prybar before you really see it. transgta 02-05-2005, 12:05 PM Thanks For Your Time Ill Try Both And Get Back yotermanic 02-07-2005, 03:00 PM I assumed a super duty, it's what I usually work on. For an F150, all I can really say I've seen a lot of before is the stabilizer bar bushings, like on the explorers. Squeeks and rattles can be a real joy. Anyhow, good luck with it and let me know what you find. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
