Shin Okamoto still the owner of the white F1...Peloton25 02-03-2005, 05:29 AM What an amazing collection this is, capped off by an F50 GT and a white McLaren F1. I think it was F1 Monster who had previously said that Shin didn't, or no longer owned this car, but these photos were apparently taken at the end of 2004 implying to me that he is still in possession of this F1. http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/16327mclaren.jpg http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/16327AMG3.jpg Unfortunately these were the only two shots of the F1 at this link and those are the largest sizes available from the site, but it is still worth viewing the link to see the rest of this man's amazing automobile collection: http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/16.3.27KobeMeeting_1.html >8^) ER Peloton25 02-03-2005, 05:43 AM Skimming through some of the other pages on that site, I also found this shot of a yellow F1 taken in 1999. Most of the photos on this page were clearly taken inside the Matsuda Collection Museum in Japan, but the last few including this yellow F1 appear to have come from another location I'm not familiar with. More recent tours of the Matsuda Collection I've seen photos from have not featured any shots of this same car, but as many will know a different photo of it recently began popping up on Google searches for McLaren at a place called "E.L.G." in Japan. http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/MacF1.jpg http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/'99Ferrari%20Museum.html Note the description in the link reads KOHJIs_GARAGE - I wonder who KHOJI is? :naughty: EDIT: Nevermind - looks like 'KOHJI' is the person who created that webpage. :disappoin >8^) ER BRX880 02-03-2005, 06:22 AM WOW!!!! What an impressive collection! Thanks for the link Peloton :) I only wonder that Mercedes sold its one-of-a-kind 1998 CLK-LM Road Version to him ( the one with the gullwing doors )! I always thought its in the factory museum in Untertuerkheim mini magic 02-03-2005, 02:54 PM Like i said  John_T 02-05-2005, 10:16 PM I'm sure its not the first time you've been asked this question....How many white F1 is there? Thanks Peloton for that great site! mini magic 02-05-2005, 10:50 PM 2... John_T 02-06-2005, 12:04 AM I'm sure its not the first time you've been asked this question....How many white F1 is there? Thanks Peloton for that great site!Who owns the other? and where is it? Thanks btw. Peloton25 02-06-2005, 12:27 AM There was talk of the second one being in Australia, but I think the F1 Dean Wills owned was actually silver. Maybe there was another owner down there with a white one, but the stories always seemed to mix together. >8^) ER Mclaren240! 02-06-2005, 01:58 AM What other white F1 shots are wasn’t a white one supposed to have gone thought Taylor and Crawly with the Sultan of Brunei’s monogram in the wheel centres or something or was that a yellow one? Anyone care to share their white or yellow pics? mini magic 02-06-2005, 07:54 AM Almost all cars go through T&C or David Clark. The car you talk about from the Sultan was yellow, not white -DeaDLocK- 02-21-2005, 04:36 AM Goodness - that collection is simply astounding. As I scrolled down the page with all the Ferraris, I saw the 250 GTO and was in awe. That 250 alone must be worth its weight in gold. I carried on only to see that he has every single über-Ferrari ever made - the 288GTO, the ultra-ultra-ultra rare Evoluzione (I think only five exist), an F40, F40LM... the list goes on. And then he has on display a modern Ferrari F1 car! Those things cost a FORTUNE to buy and license from Ferrari. The owner is a man with impeccable taste, as long as he at least drives the things. Thorst13 02-21-2005, 11:43 AM I really like Shin's collection! I dissed the Sultan of Brunei here before I edited the yext, I for some reason thought this tread was about the Sultan hahaha  -DeaDLocK- 02-21-2005, 12:35 PM He still don't have the coolest Ferrari in the world, the F50GT!Huh? 'Course he does - right next to the vanilla F50 in the pics. :) mini magic 02-21-2005, 12:59 PM Huh? 'Course he does - right next to the vanilla F50 in the pics. :) I believe its a yellow F50 Peloton25 02-21-2005, 01:35 PM He still don't have the coolest Ferrari in the world, the F50GT! His collection is almost a parody on it's self, it's clearly he just buys anything he comes across with no distinct taste, he just buys them all. Was this comment a joke? :screwy: I've never seen a more complete collection of ultimate Ferraris in all my life. Just look at all the memorabilia he has to go along with an astounding collection of cars. It's clear this man has a distinct passion for red Italian metal. As Chris notes, he has been the owner of F50 GT #2 since new. http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/16327F50-1.jpg http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~KOHJIs_GARAGE/16327F50-GT3.jpg Chris when Deadlock said "vanilla" F50, he meant 'plain' or 'normal', not that the color appeared to be white in any way. >8^) ER Mclaren240! 02-21-2005, 01:44 PM I dont see pis of the f50Gt. I have no idea where I got that from :screwy: :screwy: My bad :eek7: Thorst13 02-21-2005, 02:08 PM Was this comment a joke? :screwy: I've never seen a more complete collection of ultimate Ferraris in all my life. A bit unfocused today! :p mini magic 02-21-2005, 02:29 PM Whats going on! Ahh. Does Thorst have 2 names? I'm confused Thorst13 02-21-2005, 03:09 PM Whats going on! Ahh. Does Thorst have 2 names? Who cares about all that old stuff they have. :grinno: >8^) ER mini magic 02-21-2005, 03:18 PM Who cares about all that old stuff they have. :grinno: Ohh. You better take that back! :sly: :22yikes: :comprage1 :swear: Mclaren240! 02-21-2005, 05:11 PM Thanks for the pis thorst where did you find them. That f50 net to the gt looks read to me or am i just confusing matters further as im buggerd if i understand any of this! Moderns are cool so are clasics where would one be without the outher? -DeaDLocK- 02-21-2005, 05:16 PM Chris when Deadlock said "vanilla" F50, he meant 'plain' or 'normal', not that the color appeared to be white in any way. Thanks for clarifying that Eric. Though of course, referring to an F50 as 'plain' or 'normal' can only be done in the extreme relative sense. While in party with this crowd, I'm afraid a standard road-going LHD F50 is a wee bit humdrum. :iceslolan jcsaleen 02-22-2005, 02:30 AM very very nice pics I think I might have to find out more about that place. Im going to japan for next break. cabrio92 02-22-2005, 06:25 PM Hello, he has a P4 ? Pierre Bardinon has it on the marvellous track of Mas du Clos.
