Normally if I accidentally leave the headlights on they will automatically turn off when I stop the car and close the door. Now, the lights remain on. There is no warning. please help

Did you make sure that the inside light is working as well with the door switch? If you open the drivers door and the dome light is not coming on then the switch is sticking. Not trying to make anyone sound stupid or anything, just making sure it is the door switch.

check the relay under the driver side dashboard. I always leave my headlight on and when I shut off the car and open the door - the light turns off. You should hear a click under your dashboard (driver's side). If you don't hear any click sound, that means your relay might be bad or stuck.

The inside light works fine When I shut the door, the light inside goes off. I will have to check the relay under drivers dashboard as sugested. I will get back to you when that is checked. Thanks
