I am unsure how to replace a broken power window (drivers side) is a kit necessary to replace the riveted section also the cable looks to be broken as well . Does the motor have a notched pulley for the cable? need help

The part you're talking about is the window regulator. Before you tackle that project, though, I would reccommend getting yourself a Chilton's or Haynes manual on the vehicle. On my '94, I replaced the regulator in the driver's door twice and the passenger door once. When you remove the factory regulator, there are some rivets that have to be drilled out and will eventually be replaced with bolts and nuts when you put the new regulator in. The window motor bolts right to the regulator. You can find replacement regulators at most auto parts stores or there are sellers on Ebay that sell them too. The first time I replaced one it took me about 2 hours from start to finish. Then again, I'm rather mechanically inclined too. A couple of the hard parts are taking the window completely out of the door, and getting everything apart in the door to get the regulator in and out. The window does take some maneuvering to get in out and back in. Hope that helps out a bit.

Hi the dvr side window poped due to ice, it has come off the 'rails'? so the moter runs up and down but the window has come away from that. how do I get the door panel off. I only see 3 screws and once removed I still dont see how the panel comes off. Its a grand marquis 93 LS. Can anyone help? I need to get the a safety fast and this is the only thing holding me up.
