When I'm saying Police Interceptor all I need to know about is the Crown Vics and new Impala's.



How fast will the average Police Interceptor run?
How well does the Police Interceptor do on dirt roads?
How quick can a cop turn his cruiser around?
About how far can a typical cruiser go on a tank of gas?
What kind of engine do the Interceptors run?
What makes a Police Interceptor a Police Interceptor?
How hard is it to basically outsmart/outrun the cops?

Any info will be put to a great deal of use and forethought.

they both top out between 140-150 mph
the Impala is fairly good on dirt, the crown vics have to be lighter on the throttle being RWD
it depends how fast he's going and how reckless the driver is willing to be, the impala can probably turn around a bit faster because of a shorter wheelbase.
The Crown Vic has a 4.6L SOHC V8 with around 225 hp and 280 ft lbs of torque, the Impala has a 3.8L OHV V6 with 210 hp and around 260 ft lbs of torque.

Its easy to outrun a police car, they're not particularly fast, its damn hard to outrun a radio signal though, which can go around 2000 mph in every direction at once. Probably around 95% of people that try to run from the police get caught.

Whatever you do, you need to do it really fast. As it has been stated before, you need to do it before other officers join the chase. If there are already 2 or 3 cruisers, you might as well do the smart thing and pull over.

Naw I got a little project I've been working on that should easily outrun any of those numbers, especially the horsepower. The reason I was wondering tho wa because I never could get a title on it and without a title comes, no insurance, no tag, no registration, not shit just a car that will be able to run almost 180 in a 1/4 mile and be able to hold that and still be driven daily, I've been working on a 1966 Chevelle SS 396 but I've got a 427 in it with a 6 speed manual tranny. I know I redline at 6,000 on the tachometer, fuck it I'll live tho.

its not that hard to get a car titled if you have proof that you paid someone for it or that it was abandoned on your property.

I don't even know what our cops drive here. I blow past them so many times it doesn't even matter.

Some of them drive big pimp cruisers, but I never catch the make or model.
