Ok, my wife took this kill. over the weekend she walked into a foot locker and saw some "New Balance" shoes on sale. you guys have seen Initial D right? those are the ones Takumi and all thekids where with the big N on the side. Anyway she thought they where cute so she got them for me! I cant freaking drive with them, they are taking forever to break in.
So last yesterday I picked her up from work and we where heading home around 6:30 p.m. (rush hour) traffic was actually kinda light but I still couldnt stand it!
Me: babe I'm pulling over, you drive.
My wife: why? you sure?
me: yeah, my head hurts, you drive.
my wife: o.k.
30 minutes later, I was resting back trying to catch a nap.
My wife: can she take a GTI?
me: who the car, yeah if its stock or BPU but those little bastards can be tough.
my wife: oh ok, go to sleep honey!
me: ok. zzzzzZZZZZZZZZ

all of a sudden I hear my engine rev up hard and this wierd sinking feeling. VRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
me: what the hell was that (I was still laying back)
my wife: double clutch, was that too hard?
me: actually it was very good.
I glance over to the tach, 5500 rpms. she was in third and pulling like 80, shifts into forth quick and keeps pulling. 110 mph. I slide up and look around and glance back.
me : who are you playing with?
my wife: the blue GTI back there.
I look back, "she must be like 5 cars back! did you flyby her?"
ma wife: no we started dead even, she jumped first so I down shifted.
fifth gear and we where up to 125mph. then she shuts down.
My wife: ....................I cant see her.........did she turn?
Me: uhhhhhhhhhhh no, she's comming up slow now.
we get to a red light and the GTI pulls up next to us, it was a young blonde, short hair, very cute too. athletic body with a Victoria Secret girl look.
My wife: go back to sleep or you'll walk home!
the girl: (lowers window) hey is that your car?
my wife: yup, I payed for it! (which is true, she gave me the down for it and I make the monthly payments)
the girl: Nice run, I'll see you around! *wink*
and I coulnt see crap after that cause my wife put her hand on my face and pushed me back into the seat!

Nice run...that is one thing I wish my girl was more into...it was a huge triumph just getting her to sit through HPTV every so often without falling asleep.
But if I try and race with her in the car, she just gets sick.
