Can Equinox jump start another car?Langning 02-01-2005, 11:51 AM My friend was needing a jump and I told him that my new Equinox doesn't have a "remote nagative terminal". I know there is 1 positive remote terminal to receive a jump (and use the engine mount as the negative)... How do I give a jump with the battery inside the case? molehole 02-01-2005, 02:19 PM There should be a positive terminal with a cap near the battery. Langning 02-01-2005, 04:31 PM Normally if I give a jump, my positive goes to other car's positive; my negative connects to the engine block on the other car. The problem is that there isn't a negative terminal that I can connect the jump cable on my Equinox. BMWCRAZY 02-26-2006, 06:04 PM There is a postive terminal around the middle of the endine with a cap and for negitive, just use the metal piece of anything under the hood, engine mountes, or i usually use the bolt that holds the struts or springs stratford_boy 03-12-2006, 10:47 AM There is a ground tab near the positive jumpstart box on the drivers side near the power steering resivoir.
