OK guys...heres the thing. I got an 89 Blazer. I have already replaced my cap, rotor, wires, plugs, pcv valve, and air filter....and my gas mileage is still very bad (I think). I am getting less than 200 miles to a tank of gas(20 GAL).

I recently had all the fuel lines, sending unit, and the tank replaced also...so there are no more leaks. Can you guys help me with this old bird? She still kicks...and deserves to be taken care of...the last person did not.

HELP please if you can.

How about the injectors? Does she run bad, idle rough etc? Have you checked or replaced the oxygen sensor? Does the check engine light come on? You might try taking this truck to Autozone and have them check for any codes then report back the actual code that they give you. If they don't tell you the number, ask them what the exact number is.

Yup, yup - Check out the stuff Rick said. Also, if the truck was exhibiting fuel economy related problems, there might be a slight possibility of a slightly plugged catalyst as well. Restricted airflow will horribly reduce your gas mileage and possibly make the truck run a bit hotter too. But that is an afterthought...

On that old girl, make sure that you have performed all of the usual tune-up necessities, all filters, including fuel, plugs, wires, rotor, etc. (Spend the dough to get a new O2 sensor too) It should wake her up even more and hopefully see you planning trips between destinations, rather than gas stations. ;)

Check your timing with a timing gun with the brown and beige timing disconnected from the computer under the glove box.
