well actually see there shouldn't be any oil near the intake or carb so you might want to check everything else also

way out of your league boys, what he is talking about is this (http://www.redpepperracing.com/gallery/albums/album650/aaa.sized.jpg), a second gen cvcc... nightmare. but oil shouldn't be able to make it's way in anywhere, where do you see oil?

it sounds as though you have a clogged fuel filter(s) or perhaps the carb just needs a rebuild (armature beware, very complicated) what do you mean it runs like it's on 2 cylinders? does it run like that all the time or after you've been driving for a while?

i would check your filters, there is one canister style one on the tank and another inline one in the engine compartment. if that doesn't help things send me a PM, i have a carb with vacuum boxes still attached you can have inexpensively if you like, it ran fine till the day i pulled it out.

no i changed the fuel filters in front and the rear, and oil is coming out of a vacume line that seems to be coming out from the bottom of the carb to the air cleaner,my next thing is to check compresion i was told.thanx for your info.

that's not a vacuum line, it's the pcv valve hose. it goes to the neck on the valve cover to release pressure from the crank case. there shouldn't be any great amount if oil that can make it up that line. if there is there may be some other issues like compression as you mentioned, low compression could mean blow by on the rings which would mean greater pressure in the crank case. do a compression test. are you burning a lot of blue smoke?
