Project Steppenwolf

Saw this article on a pretty neat looking Audi concept:

If you ever wondered what would happen if you combined Audi’s allroad quattro with its TT Coupe, take a good look at the “Project Steppenwolf.”

First introduced to the world at the Paris Motor Show, Steppenwolf is another combination of sport utlitity vehicle, wagon and sports car — with the emphasis on SUV. Unlike most so-called car-based SUVs, those with unibody rather than full-frame construction, Steppenwolf, like the allroad, is claimed to be capable of full offroad duty. Credit the quattro permanent four-wheel drive and the air suspension, front and rear, that raises the body up an additional 2.4 inches for better ground clearance.

The 225-horsepower V-6 engine is claimed to propel the Steppenwolf from 0 to 60 mph in less than 8 seconds. Though its design and similarity to the allroad make it look sizable, the three-door four-seater fits into the compact vehicle class.

Eh, I don't know... A good idea if they made it with a more powerful engine. It's looks are not that outstanding.

AAAAAAHHHHHHH another SUV that looks like a running shoe! Kill them all! What ever happend to looking rugged and tough, whatever happend to steel bumpers that could tear though lesser cars without a scratch (yes I have done it LOL) Whatever happend to solid front axles or 4 wheel drive for that matter. I hate new SUVs I'll stick to old Explorers K5s and Broncos.
