I need to know if any one has changed there timing chain on a 1994 chevy pickup with 4.3L V6 engine before. After chainging the chain sprokets then putting the cover back on I found out the gasket for the cover is also connected to the oil pan gasket which should be replaced when doing this. But this requires the oil pan to be dropped thus having to drop the exhaust manafold and front axel on the 4wd model to gain access to the oil pan bolts. Does anyone know if this all has to be done? Or can the small gasket that comes with the timing belt replacement kit be used. I really don't want to have to do all the extra work. Please help me. Thanks
