Turbo or NA?ModifiedCars04 01-30-2005, 09:16 PM i recently bought an 89 mazda rx-7, so far racing clutch, new cats, piping, tanabe exhaust mufflers, apex'i power intake, front strut bar, rear triangle strut bar, thinking of doing a custom turbo kit for the car, or i might just do all N/A engine work. what u guys think i shold do, leave a N/A engine and just beef it up, or custom turbo it? ^ Asked by someone else not not, Post here to answer Please RevvRX-7 01-30-2005, 09:55 PM I think you should stick with pure engine power. ^_^ fcdriver 01-30-2005, 10:27 PM If you do decide to go turbo I would just swap out the N/A for a ported rebuilt turbo engine since they will hold up to boost much better then a 6 port will. If you do decide to stay N/A get it ported and or get a wet nitrous system for it and buy a t2 trans so you won't be killing the N/A trans all the time. drftk1d 01-31-2005, 01:04 AM go bridgeport with a haltech :) Aerowitz 02-01-2005, 12:48 PM Why turbo the thing if it'll get even worse gas mileage? :) J/K. Swap in a TII motor and tranny and you'll be a happy camper. NOS/Porting won't give you the same rush a Turbo 13B can give you. jcsaleen 02-02-2005, 05:23 PM Go for the turbo worth it. Autofreefindersguy 02-02-2005, 07:34 PM Its better, cheaper & much easier to just sell your na and buy a Turbo II...Everything is already to go... drftk1d 02-02-2005, 09:07 PM idk, no turbo rx7 will have lower insurance than an NA... jcsaleen 02-02-2005, 09:11 PM Autofreefindersguy 02-02-2005, 09:19 PM Wow, Twin Turbo 350 V8 Supra... Loved that shot of the game wardon having him stopped! Soyo 02-04-2005, 03:41 PM just custom make a super charger and you won't need to swap the engine or pay more for insurance cause they don't need to know it has a supercharger :) D3rELiC 02-07-2005, 07:11 PM yea, S/C rocks vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
