So i need to find a tranny for a 84 944 non turbo...what price range am i lookin at new/not new? Is it an option to go with the tranny from a turbo car? Are trannys from diff. models interchangeable? What kind of price am i lookin at to convert a non turbo to a turbo?? what kind of parts would i need??? what about twin turbo ? possible??

If you need a tranny I have one. different models have different gear ratios. You can put any year trans in an early car, but a late car you must use a late trans for the electronic speedo. I dont remember the name of the place i called today...but i do remember the number...866-944-7883. you have to send your tranny in as a core and a rebuilt turbo tranny with an LCD and oil cooler was 2,999. i dont know for the others just that specific one. hope this helps.
