What do you guys do to make your truck give out that neat appearance on your trucks? I have tried to use all sorts of polishes, from meguirs to no name, and have come back to turtle wax. I have a black truck, and want to get that clear 'like new' in depth wax job, but always i am left with these swirl marks and such.....has anybodt tried any other polishes or have any solutions or techniques to get the crytal clear truck?

have you tried a clay bar?? try "clay magic" from auto zone and take your time rewaxing.

A little trick my dad told me about Black vehicles. He has a 90 Thunderbird that's black and is flawless. He Waxes it with a "Simoniz" wax and adds just a touch of baking soda. The baking soda removes the swirl marks from wax. The Simoniz wax has just a touch of Teflon in it that makes it really jump out. That's all I use now and it's great.
Just make sure you wear gloves and use it in a somewhat well vented environment. Maybe it's just my old hands but, I find if I don't have gloves on my hands get kinda tingly after waxing my truck....

In the past i have used a product called swirl and haze remover made by the wax shoppe followed by liquid glaze by the same company. The results are amazing but do take some elbow grease to get. (unless you have a power polisher) Depending on how badly oxidized or how much of a build up of wax you already have, you may need to start with a differnet product that will strip off all the old wax. Too much of a wax build up on black vehicles will leave a hazy or cloudy look. In the spring i will be picking up a bottle each of the swirl and haze remover and the liquid glaze to do my silverado because i know the results will be what i am looking for.
