my dad's 95 f150 had 185 hp...before the engine died.

the guy he had rebuild it, replaced it (same 302 engine) but my dad paid a bit extra to get some enhancements done.
he got dual exaust, flowmasters , headers, and some major work in the engine. he is running now 425hp.

i have a video clip showing his truck the night he got it back.

we're trying to convince him to get the rear done and switch out that gear....

but as of now, his truck is mean:)

Your dad's truck sounds good.

However, I wouldn't say it is 425 horsepower unless the engine costs ALOT.

The heavily worked iron-headed 302 in my '78 Mont only makes around ~320 hp or so, and it has 10.2:1 compression and a 225/230@.050 roller cam. A set of AFR 185's are in the works and would really wake it up.

The stock heads on 302's just stink from the factory. You can literally bolt on 80 hp with a new set of heads.

Get it broken in so we can see some burnout pictures!

well the engine work ran him 3500... with all the work done and headers he ran about 4650... i think. i dunno for sure, but the guy does wonders with 302's

Sounds good :) Is that 425 at the wheels or crank? Either way, sounds like a nice lil sleeper.
