today heading down airport i heard a LOUD exaust... a pink eclipse, body kit, taillights, fart pipe, and gauges is revving and going pretty slow. I look at him with a :screwy: look and he has his girl in the car. i've seen him before on the road, but honestly thought it was his girl's car because it's pink...

i ask him what he wants.
he goes "you wanna run?"
i go "it's raining and there's traffic"
he goes "no here, by the airport"
i go "sure... if it's not traffic and no blues"

he revvs and i follow behind him. it's on my way so i'm happy.

it slacks up in rain by the time we hit the airport, and i go "on 3" and he honks three times from 40. third honk, i floor it. tires catch pretty well and he's trying.... trying..... and he gives up. 3 car lengths behind we approach the suicide lane. (2 lanes become one) he get's behind me. he motions in the car to pull into the gas station. i turn into it. he stands under my hood and says "stock?"

i go "yea.. for now"

he laughs "shit man i thought you were running at least headers in that thing, or the intake... but your not"
i laugh "what do you have done"
he pops hood...

only thin there is a cai and a welded on fart pipe.

i go "well it was nice running with ya man. take it easy"

he smiles and goes "yea man, i see a j30 from now on and i'll know that it's a fast car, i've been told they are slow.

i went "yea, alot of people think that till they run me... i'm not super fast, but i'm not sluggish either"

we shake hands, i put 5 in gas in my car and leave..

it was fun... but that's about it for now till i get my tune up done.... i really needa drive better till then...

but afterwards i'll be running against a es300 lexus (2nd time... beat him the first) and a gti vw. i'll be sure to tell you all about that.

heh yea i know... the first time i ran him he had 2 people in the car and both 15"s...

this time it'll just be him and the 15"s (stipulation... cause i don't wanna take out my subs)
