Is there a difference?94CIVICDXTuner 01-27-2005, 11:35 PM Ok I'm new, and I have a question. Would any of you happen to know if a 94 Honda Civic is different than a 93 Honda Civic!? I look in car mags, "Do It Yourself" guides, and even owners manuals, and I cant seem to find a difference in the 2 years. The reason why I ask is because, there are many products out there (for example ground effects or cold air intake) that are compatable for years 90-93, then it'll skip 94, and then it'll go on to say 95-00. Like, ground effects or cold air intake if you will. Thanks. CivicSpoon 01-27-2005, 11:57 PM '92-'95 are all the same. '88-'91 are another generation, and '96-'00 is another (but the '96-'98's differ slightly from the '99-'00's). So for something like ground effects, you'll want something from the '92-'95 and from the body style of your car (hatch, coupe, sedan). crxlvr 01-28-2005, 12:23 AM yup, should be no difference between the 92-95 cars other than slight adjustment here and there. 94CIVICDXTuner 01-28-2005, 11:06 PM whats a good VTECH to drop in a 94.........stock is getting old. Its got amazing range at 5.8ghz. Comes with Dual Overhead Phone Chargers. Comes with Caller ID and a built in answering machine. Can't beat the price either. $119.95 http://www.vtechphones.com/vtechui/store/dsp_products_list.cfm?parent=215 94CIVICDXTuner 01-29-2005, 12:13 AM Forgive me for the spelling error douche bags. Thank you. SiGNAL748 01-29-2005, 02:06 AM It really just depends on what your goals are. h22's are well known as being drag platforms when dropped into Civics. While b-series motors are good all-around performers. The k20 is a relatively new swap, and costs a bit more, but will probably be the most advantageous in the long run. KaMaKaZiPyRo 01-29-2005, 02:50 PM it all depends on your bank roll, how much do you have to spend. right now you have a d series motor which has less hp than a B, H, or K series engine, if you just want to drop a motor in for cheap and still have more power than your stock engine I say go with the b16a with 160hp and 111tq, or even a b18c1 from an integra gsr which has 185hp and 127tq. but like i said if your looking for more power its more money and its prolly gunna be a lil more difficult, your looking at spending around 3 or 4 thousand for an h22, and about 5 or 6 thousand for a k20. SiGNAL748 01-29-2005, 09:52 PM your looking at spending around 3 or 4 thousand for an h22 Actually, H22's can be had for $2000. It's the things needed for a proper installation that bring the total price up. midrange 01-29-2005, 11:19 PM cost got close to 6gs for my h22 swap.. but also mines a crx.. probably easier in the gen civic vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
