turbo questionclipsekid99 01-26-2005, 10:36 PM Hi, is it possible to turbo or even twin turbo a non turbo 300zx without massive modding? My friend just got a non turbo and he doesnt know, so I thought I would be nice and ask here. Thanks! freakonaleash1187 01-26-2005, 11:11 PM check the stickies. -Jared neogenesis 01-26-2005, 11:24 PM You COULD...but it's better to do a TT swap. k3smostwanted 01-27-2005, 01:20 AM yeah, let me make it simple so you dont have masses amounts of reading to do. if you TT your n/a you can boost maybe 5 or 6 psi, either way its a very low boost. nice to do if you only want a little extra power but there is a lot of worked involved to turbo the N/A motor...like engine pulling and all that good stuff. most people would rather swap in the TT drivetrain instead of goign trhough all that work for a few psi...they go through all that work for alot of power, proven power. if you have any specifics, ask away... clipsekid99 01-27-2005, 04:47 PM great. thanks guys. its the same way with the DSM cars. it isnt really worth it to turbo a n/t DeleriousZ 01-27-2005, 05:10 PM great. thanks guys. its the same way with the DSM cars. it isnt really worth it to turbo a n/t it isn't really worth owning a dsm..... *ducks* neogenesis 01-27-2005, 10:11 PM it isn't really worth owning a dsm..... (not ducking) I stand behind my words :) k3smostwanted 01-27-2005, 10:36 PM you guys are bogus...i wouldnt mind owning a GSX, maybe for my girlfriend someday. :dunno: DeleriousZ 01-27-2005, 11:14 PM hopefully she doesn't mind being stuck places because the car broke down... lorddarkice 01-28-2005, 11:25 PM have to agree.... cars are not the most reliable... why did it take the DSM 2 hours to get going 60mph? because it broke at 34 and had to wait for a tow truck! lol, i dont hate them though, they look awsome and they are fast when they run... k3smostwanted 01-29-2005, 01:19 AM ehh...they arent that bad. i would trust them before i used pontiac... i bet if they are well taken care of they are just as good as other cars. for some reason, idiotic pre-18 year olds kids end up with alot of DSM cars, causing them to be abused and not taken care of. i know a kid with a GS-T that blew his motor 3 times before he figured out that your fluids need checked more than your yearly tune-up...and oil needs changed ever 3000 miles or when needed, and not once a year. well, he obviously learned the hard way. f***ing moron!!! Zgringo 01-29-2005, 02:47 AM I have to make a correction here. You can safely run 7# boost on a N/A engine. Now thats a 50% increase in power. Now 50% of 222HP is 111HP, 111+222=333HP. Now I wouldn't say that was to bad considering there's other things you can do, like exhaust, computer ect. ect. http://www.goodvibesracing.com/Compression%20Ratio.htm vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
