question about 1972.............................

Hi! some of you might know or owned a mustang b4 1972 straight6 carb does this used alot of gas or a lemon car Thankz for the info.........

Not necessarily putting down American-made cars, but this era was the worst for quality in Fords, Chevys and Chryslers. The engine itself may be quite reliable, but the car was assembled and designed by Chimpanzees. Thank God, they have gotten better since then.

I had a 1967 inline 6 Mustang. Motor had alot of power and durable. Gas was cheap back then. Probably 15-17 MPG. Pep Boys may have a carb for that engine ($60) I would swap it out. Remember old engines loose efficiency and MPG.

I had a 1974 Mustang V6 (first year of engine production) worst engine I've ever owned. 12 MPG highway
