Problema Starting jeep GCTaylor789 01-26-2005, 11:25 AM Put a new battery in my 93 jeep grand cherokee. It was running like a top. Then the next morning it would not start. Turns but will not start, no clicking etc like a atarter problem.... Fouind out son in an effort to help saw the gas gage low and added some old fuel from the garage about 1-2 gallons. Could have also been mixed with oil!!! I addded about 7 gallons of good gas before he fessed up. Jeep will not start. Jeep also has an alarm system that does not seem to be functioning properly either. Called a local jeep dealership and the mechanic said the alarms system was probably not involved. I need help!!! 89ltd 01-26-2005, 02:58 PM could be a number of things, you will have to figure out if it is a spark problem or fuel. Try spraying some starter fluid in the throttle body while somebody turns it over, if it fires or tries to , you will know its a fuel problem. Also you could unplug the coil wire from the distributor and hold it 1/4" away from the engine block or some thing steel that is grounded while somebody turns the engine over, there should be a nice blue spark.
