if i already have a Nissan 240SX. is it possible to swap the engine out and put in a RB26DETT engine in with out switching the tranny. if not is it posible to get a Skyline tranny that is only RWD. cause all the skyline trannies i saw were 4WD

there is no way a the stock 240sx tranny will hold up or even bolt to the RB26...

what you need is a RB25DET transmission out of a R33 GT-S...it will bolt right up to the RB26 and is a RWD transmission and it will withstand the power produced by the GTR motor...

you will also need an oil pan of a rwd rb

It is possible to use the RB26 sump if U cut the front diff off & weld in some alloy... try and find the RB26 engine crossmember(the thing with the engine mounts on it) as it will make the whole swap a LOT easier...
