Does anyone know where to find z production/import numbers? I'm kind of looking for the more specific information. I know there were just under 3800 convertibles imported to the usa from 93-96. I'm interested in finding out how many were imported each year. Also, the more specific info. I.E. how many were 5 speeds vs automatics each year, how many of each color combination, etc. The main thing I want to know is how many twins my car has in the states. It's a red '93 convertible with black top & interior, with a 5 speed transmission. Were these numbers ever released by Nissan? Is there somewhere on the web where this info is located?

there is some place around here that has the numbers sold in each year btu it doesnt get into detail...1990 had the most sold topping at almost 20,000 if i remember correctly.

i can tell you right now that a convertible with a 5-speed is probably one of the rarest models...almost every convertible i have seen has the automatic trans. or has been swapped from auto to manual...

I think I might have found the answer to the production numbers question, with some detail, at http://datsunzclub.com/zcarserialnumbers.html If you subtract the final serial number from the starting number, that should give you the total production for each model, I would assume. This doesn't tell you how many autos, 5 speeds, colors, etc were produced, but does give numbers for each model. At least now I know there were 2465 z convertibles in 1993.
