Recommended to check every fill up. I'm so paranoid now, I check mor regularly than that. iskiuskiweski 01-24-2005, 09:41 AM I am with ya guys, I am averaging almost a 1/2 qt per tank of gas (320-350 Miles). Check it, check it and check it again. Something so cheap and simple could cost a you a ton later one. 2eyefishclaw 01-24-2005, 09:11 PM have you ever replaced your pcv valve rodeo02 01-25-2005, 12:33 AM They will use oil on long, high speed hywy runs. I've never had to add more than a half to 1qt of oil to our 2002 3.2L @ about 4000 mile oil change intervals (30K mi total on it). My cousin's 2002 trooper uses very little to nothing. On the other hand, my SIL's 2003 3.2L rodeo (4x4 5spd) shows almost nothing on the dipstick just about any time I get a chance to check it for her (2+ qts low) :uhoh: . She's got about 40K miles on it & drives the snot out of it. I offer every time to change the oil for her. Have done it a couple times for her, plus cleaned her EGR & PCV, but she insists on doing maintenance where & when she wants. Whataya gonna do :shakehead . I guess my point is, Isuzu never really did straighten out the problem. G/luck Joel rwoody76 01-25-2005, 01:19 AM thanks everyone for the input.....and yes i do check the oil constantly....i drive 32 miles one way for work so alot of highway type driving, but on country roads......it is my winter truck....usual car is 92 accord 5 sp.....thanks again 2eyefishclaw 01-25-2005, 11:04 PM have you ever replaced the pcv valve vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
